Maintenance Troubleshooting For Current Residents
Maintenance Overview
If you're currently residing in one of our homes and need to submit a maintenance request, please review the guidelines provided below. We've included troubleshooting steps, informative video links that might address common issues, and essential details to include when making a request.
Air Conditioning: Note the last air filter replacement date. Filters must have been recently replaced for us to proceed; we cannot send a contractor until ruling out this possibility. Please also indicate any error messages on the thermostat.
Electrical Issues: Confirm checking the circuit breaker and resetting the GFCI if applicable.
Garbage Disposal: With the power off, ensure there is nothing stuck in the unit. Attempt to reset the garbage disposal by pushing the reset switch underneath the garbage disposal unit.
Heating: Include the last air filter replacement date. Filters must have been recently replaced. Note any error messages on the thermostat. If you have a gas furnace, please confirm that your gas is on and the bill has been paid.
Plumbing: Try unclogging any toilets/sinks that may be backed up initially. Use a plunger on the toilet to resume normal operation.
This information ensures a smoother process in addressing your maintenance needs. Thank you for your cooperation.
